Printmaking with flowers

Learn a simple printing technique while gaining a new appreciation for the beauty of plants. In this workshop, we’ll use traditional printmaking tools and techniques to ink cut flowers then capture their impressions on paper. The resulting image serves to highlight the patterns, shapes, and textures which otherwise may have gone unnoticed. Create a collection of captivating prints for your home to
You’ll use color and multiple stamps to make unique designs of your own on paper. Card stock paper will also be on hand for those who wish to make custom notecards. When you’re all finished, take home your own original artwork.

This workshop is fun for kids and adults of all ages. Don’t forget to wear old clothing or a smock - some of the paints we’ll be using may be permanent on fabric.

Would you like to create some original art for your garden? Painting rocks is a great way to pass the time, and is a wonderful meditative art activity for both children and adults. In this complimentary workshop, gain inspiration from the plant-filled surroundings or create a design from your imagination. Select your rock, then learn to sketch and paint your artwork. Once finished, painted rocks can be displayed in flower beds, alongside potted plants, or as markers in your veggie garden.

We’ll be using permanent paints - so wear your play clothes! For children and adults of all ages, free of charge. Reservations encouraged but not required.
