  • Vicky organizes and facilitates creative workshops that help people unplug and connect with nature. She has introduced nature journaling to NJ public schools as a Project Impact visiting artist and conducted the "Doodle, Draw, Discover Winter Trees" online workshop for ANJEE, NPSNJ, and the Friends of Great Swamp NWR during the pandemic. Her central aim is to foster an appreciation for trees by instructing individuals in truly seeing them, aiming to mitigate the phenomenon known as "plant blindness.”

Vicky collaborates on community initiatives in her hometown of Glen Rock, such as creating a quilt for Central School and a mural at the Glen Rock Jewish Center. She welcomes commissions and takes pride in contributing creatively to local spaces.

A former co-leader of the Bergen-Passaic Chapter of the NPSNJ, Vicky is currently the organizer of the annual “Native Plant Seed Swap” in October - all welcome! As a certified Rutgers Environmental Steward, she created the booklet "How to Create Butterfly Habitat in Your NJ Outdoor Space," which can be explored through the Rutgers Environmental Steward project database.

  • As a freelancer, Vicky has created illustrations for clients such as American Greetings, The New York Times, and Condé Nast, earning recognition from industry organizations. She values collaborations with clients dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment, like the Feminist Bird Club and Wild Garden Nursery. Additionally, she volunteers her creative services to local non-profits that align with her values, including the Native Plant Society of NJ and Wild Woods Restoration Project.
